For
its inaugural exhibition, Swift Gallery is honored to present the photographic
series "I Spy" by Sarah Small. In 2001, when the New York photographer
was a student, she started modeling nude for a man named Allen at $25 an
hour. To turn this into a mutually fulfilling experience, she started shooting
back at him. The observed becomes the observer, as her photos deliciously
rock the viewer back and forth between the delicate line of intimacy and
intimidation. The opening of "i.Spy" will coincide with the launch
of Swift Gallery. |
